Risk Management Specialist - Oman - Muscat

The incumbent should

• Develop, implement and maintain a risk management system
• Plan risk assessments activities and conduct workshops to collect information
• Present results of risk assessment to management and highlight key concerns
• Ensure that risks identified are aligned with the strategy of the organization
• Review and analyze reports provided by other departments to monitor risk generated through economic and business factors.
• Define acceptable levels of risk in line with best practice and national and international norms

• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies against risks identified
• Ensure risk mitigation are in line with the organizational strategy and plans
• Identify residual risks for risks which were previously identified and mitigated.
• Generate daily/weekly/quarterly risk monitoring reports that are disseminated, followed-up and filed appropriately
• Prepare key risk indicators and portfolio reports for senior management review
• Direct development of effective risk management processes and policies for the company to mitigate adverse risk and exposure
• Establish specific risk policies, guidelines, standards and procedures and ensure they are properly communicated across the organization
• Ensure that the HSE, BCM and network security risk assessments are aligned with the enterprise risk management system.
• Motivate Management and empower direct reports by providing the necessary tools and support required to support risk Management Department goals
• Plan, manage, and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, development and coaching, taking prompt action where necessary.
• Establish clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the Risk Management Department.
• Build opportunities for Risk Management Department members to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiatives.
