Senior Operation Engineer: Drilling & Completions - Qatar - Doha

Natural Resources seeking to recruit a SENIOR OPERATIONS ENGINEER (DRILLING & COMPLETIONS)  for their clients Drilling & Completions Department  on a Residential contract based in Qatar

Purpose

Lead the team of Operations Engineers who prepare the offshore drilling and work-over programs and thereafter provide engineering support during the well construction.

Experience/Qualifications

• Experienced professional with at least 15 years experience in Drilling Operations including a minimum of 5 years as a Senior Operations Drilling Engineer with responsibility to supervise and lead Drilling Superintendents/Drilling Operations team and a significant period of well site experience.
• Mastery in well design, tubular design, well bore construction, drilling fluids, well control and a good understanding of geology.
• Fully conversant with and ability to use all Drilling Engineering Software within EDT (Engineers Desktop) including: Compass; Well Plan, Stress Check and Casing Seat.
• Experience with hydrogen sulphide well designs and safety practices. Knowledge of tendering and contracting procedures and practices.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
• BSc Degree in an Engineering discipline.
